Last night, RA Kelly gave a presentation on Roman mosaics, teaching students about the evolution of mosaic patterns and subject matter. In classes this morning, students analyzed translations of Book 4 of The Aeneid; they looked at differences in rhyme scheme and diction. In Latina Pro Vicis, everyone practiced listening to spoken Latin by watching an episode of Forum Romanum. The show even featured their teacher, Dr. Franko! Students interpreted depictions of Renaissance artwork, including Rubens' classic "Allegory of War," after reading Ovid's Mars and Venus. Following lunch, the students practiced conjugating Greek verbs outside. They are currently working on the memory videos and rehearsing for the play.
