dies solis, 22

The 2014 Governor's Latin Academy is officially under way and we could not have asked for a better first day. The charming and delightful students are comfortably moved in to their new residence hall and have introduced themselves, and each other.
The opening ceremony was a wonderful beginning, and we are very happy that President Lindgren joined us and now has an amazing and fantastic shirt to show for it. After the students said a final 'valete' to their parents they were given their own shirts to put on and then we conducted tours of the Randolph Macon campus in our ordines.
The first dinner in Estes was delicious, and after the RAs spoke about rhetoric and elections. The students made nominations for the positions, and candidates were selected. Campaigning will hit full speed tomorrow, and elections will take place the following day. After the traditional Come To Caesar meeting, students presumably retired to their rooms, finished their campaign posters, and fell asleep.
Now it is time for the magistri to sleep.
